Drs. Alan & Christy Stockdale, DVM's
Drs. Alan and Christy grew up in Michigan and attended Michigan State University. There they both earned their Doctorates of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. After graduation, they each worked in private practices in the downriver Detroit area. In 1991, they returned to Dr. Alan's hometown of Coloma and opened Wil-O-Paw Animal Hospital. Dr. Alan & Dr. Christy have been blessed with two children- Alan, a pre-vet junior at Calvin College and Grace, who attends Grace Christian School in Watervliet. Their "fury family" currently has 6 dogs, 5 cats, 4 chickens, a horse, goat, a drake and a goldfish. Dr. Alan's hobbies include: running, cycling, and coaching cross country and track. Dr. Christy enjoys her pet visitation ministry at South Haven Nursing & Rehab with her amazing dog, Buddy. She also plays percussion in the Southshore Concert Band.
Dr. Kim Case, DVM
Dr. Case is a graduate of Michigan State University. She met her husband, Wade, (who is also a veterinarian) while attending MSU. After graduation, Dr. Case lived in Virginia, Maryland, and Massachusetts as her husband spent 11 years in the military. In 1994, Dr. Case and her family came to call Michigan their home. She has three grown children. Dr. Case enjoys the challenges of critical care and internal medicine as she has several years of experience in these areas from working at an animal emergency clinic. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Case is an active leader for 4-H working with children involved with in the dog program. She also plays the handbells at her church. In her spare time, Dr. Case enjoys gardening, riding horses, sewing, and maintaining the homestead. Dr. Case currently has many pets of her own: 2 dogs, 1 cat, 4 horses and several chickens and turkeys.
Karen, Practice Manager
Karen has been the Practice Manager at Wil-O-Paw since 2011. She is responsible for making sure you and your pet have a great experience at Wil-O-Paw. Karen and her husband, Jeff, are the parents of two daughters, Becky and Michelle. Her fury family consists of Wrigley (the dog she's holding), and three great cats. Outside activities including gardening, antiquing and involvement at Christ Lutheran Church in Stevensville.
Wende, Business Manager
Wende has been with our hospital since 1994. Her responsibilities include: bookkeeping, computer maintenance, and enhancing the computer software as well as training the doctors and staff to use it efficiently. Her many years of experience also enable her to assist the receptionists and technicians as well. When not at work, Wende enjoys spending time with her family, is active in her church. Her hobbies include knitting for the needy, social networking, movies, music and reading.
Kathy- Head Veterinary Technician
Kathy is our Head Technician. Besides her responsibilities in veterinary medicine and surgical technology, Kathy has a keen interest in behavioral medicine and has attended advanced obedience courses. Kathy enjoys going to veterinary conferences and learning about the new advances in veterinary medicine, especially those pertaining to cats, and how to implement them into the hospital. Kathy has an one daughter, Andrea, and owns 6 cats and 1 dog. She also is involved in pet-sitting in her spare time. Kathy enjoys being active in her church, reading and is always studying and learning new things.
Beth, Veterinary Technician
Beth joined the Wil-O-Paw staff in January 2012 as a veterinary technician. She shows great compassion and kindness to every animal she treats. She is also a certified phlebotomist and is excellent at blood draws on your pets! She loves learning about all the new and improved testing available for our clients. She and her husband have four beautiful children,one great dog and two mischievous cats. They are also active members at their church.
Holly, Veterinary Technician
Holly joined our team in January 2008. Besides from being a great tech, she is also certified as an Animal Massage Therapist. So if your pet is having mobility problems, please give her a call. Holly is also a farrier and horse trainer. Her passion in life is rescuing and rehabilitating strays and finding them great new families. She and her husband, Donny, own Ray of Hope Ranch and Rescue, a rescue organization for dogs, cats and farm animals.
Loralei, Veterinary Technician
Loralei joined our staff in September of 2012 after coming to us though her externship at Brown Mackie College. Since then, she has graduated from their Veterinary Technician program. At home, she and her husband, Kenny are busy with their 2 horses, 3 cats, 2 dogs and an African Parrott. She also is a roller-skating instructor and and expert leathercrafter.
Rachel, Licensed Veterinary Technician
Rachel is our newest technician having joined the Wil-O-Paw staff in January of 2017. Having graduated from Brown Mackie's veterinary technician program in 2011, she became a licensed veterinary technician in 2012. She brings four years of experience and great medical knowledge to our staff. Besides being great with your pet, she also enjoys working with the owners and loves to see a happy owner-pet relationship. Rachel loves social media and has started the Wil-O-Paw Animal Hospital Instagram page (wilopaw_ah). Check it out!She loves posting pictures of our patients! Rachel and her wife Annika have four rescue dogs: Paco, Paisley, Payton and Seamus (in picture). When not working, she spends her time out walking her crew or catching up on her sleep.
Tonya (with her beautiful dogs Mary Jane & Sophia) has been at the front desk happy to help our clients since June 2016. She brought lots of customer service experience with her and is always willing to assist you with whatever you or your pet's need. Besides her two dogs, she has two very spoiled cats: Ginger & Miley Cyrus. Tonya's outside activities include shopping and DIY projects around the house that she shares with her husband, Fred, and her two teenagers, Cameron & Savanna.
Michelle is the friendly voice you hear and face you see at our front desk. She has been a receptionist at Wil-O-Paw since 2010. When not at work, Michelle and her husband, Joe, can be seen riding their Harley's around town or watching their daughter, Kenzie's many school or sporting events. Her furry family consists of her dogs, Coach & Prada and cat, Mookie.
Rene grew up in a boarding and grooming kennel owned by her parents and learned how to groom at the age of 12. Rene attends many grooming seminars to keep her knowledge up-to-date. Rene also has been raising Standard Poodles for over 15 years and enjoys the artistry that is involved with grooming and styling pets. Currently, Rene keeps busy taking care of her husband, Tim, and her pets when she is not working at Wil-O-Paw. They have two grown daughters and three grandchildren. Her outside hobbies include gardening and cooking.
Sarah, Groomer & Receptionist
Sarah has many roles here at Wil-O-Paw! You can find her grooming cats and dogs on Mondays, at the reception desk Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and keeping our hospital neat and clean on Thursdays. Wil-O-Paw's Facebook page is also maintained by Sarah and she would love for you to send your pet pictures or stories to her! Sarah graduated in October 2013 from the National Cat Groomers Institute of America and is one of only three certified cat groomers in Michigan. She also has graduated from the Paragon School of Pet Grooming in 2010 and Lake Michigan College with a music degree in 2013. She also volunteers at the Southwest Michigan Humane Society and is their official photographer. She also finds time to play the organ and piano at the Coloma Bible Church and loves sewing, reading and photography.
Teresa, Grooming Assistant
Teresa works with Rene in the pet styling salon here at Wil-O-Paw. Teresa has been working in the pet grooming business for 20 years. She has been around animals all her life and grew up on a dairy farm. While not working, she enjoys playing with her cats and dogs as well as reading, needlepoint, and scrap-booking.
Whitney, Veterinary Technician Assistant
Whitney came to us in October 2016 interested in becoming a veterinary technician. We loved her positive attitude so she now works as a veterinary technician assistant learning everything she can. Whitney can be seen buzzing around the clinic helping the doctors and techs with anything and everything! She has a love for German Shepherds and owns two: Pharaoh & Hannibal. Besides the dogs, Whitney also has two cats, Grim & Milkshakes. She love to spend her free-time playing in the park with her dogs and son, Miles.
Tammy, Grooming Assistant & Kennel
Tammy, shown here with Mandy May, has been Sarah's grooming assistant since August of 2015. She does a great job bathing, walking and making sure your babies are safe and happy while they are here for grooming. She also helps keep Wil-O-Paw Animal Hospital clean on Thursdays. Tammy loves her dogs: besides Mandy she has a 106# retriever at home named Sam.
